设计团队：WrightWright日前揭示了兰贝斯图书馆的改造方案，这里自从1610年以后，便面向大众开放，可以自由访问。

图书馆位于兰贝斯宫殿园林的北端，位于泰晤士河的南岸，对面便是国会大厦，这里周边都是历史较为悠久的景观，受到国家的保护。该图书馆中收藏了许多宗教典籍，其数量在整个欧洲排行第二，第一是罗马教廷。同时，这里也是英国国教会档案的主要收藏地。后来，图书馆的单一建筑被分割成几个部分，所幸的是，在去年WrightWright团队赢得了以该图书馆为目标的设计竞赛，对之进行改造，使它尽可能恢复到往日的风采，该计划在本周刚刚公布。

ThebuildingwilloccupyasiteatthenorthendofLambethpalacegardensonthesouthbankoftheThames,oppositetheHousesofparliament,inthegroundsoftheheritage-protectedpalacethathasbeenhometotheArchbishopsofCanterburysincethe13thcentury.Thelibrary,whichholdsthesecond-largestcollectionofreligioustextsincentralEuropeaftertheVaticanandisthemainarchivefortheChurchofEngland,iscurrentlysplitacrossmultiplebuildings.WrightWrightwonacompetitionlastyeartodesignthenewbuilding,andunveileditsplansthisweek.
